Pro Tips For Using The App NRK Radio

The NRK Radio app allows you to easily listen to all NRK's podcasts, live channels and recordings of radio programs.

Listen to our recommended podcasts, browse the categories, or find what you want to hear by searching. The app remembers what you have heard across all your devices, and you can easily scroll to the sections you want to hear. You can download podcasts to listen offline, and favorite the series you like best.

In the app you can also listen to live radio and rewind up to 3 hours back in NRK P1, NRK P2, NRK P3, NRK mP3, NRK Alltid Nyheter, NRK Radio Super, NRK Klassisk, NRK Sápmi, NRK Jazz, NRK Folkemusikk, NRK Urørt, NRK P3X in addition to all NRK's district broadcasts.

One hour of normal listening involves downloading approximately 60MB - 90MB. The same goes for downloading podcasts. It is buffered for up to 15 minutes by direct listening (approximately 15MB - 22.5 MB).

First off - I know I'm not your target audience. I live in the US, but listen to NRK to help improve my Norwegian. But this app is unstable and crashes constantly. It works if I hit play and leave it alone, but if I try to find out the title of the song playing or switch stations, it crashes. If I'm trying to change the station, it crashes multiple times before it'll actually change. More trouble than it's worth, mostly.

Hei Diana, we've done a lot of improvements to the app this year, if you try version 8.0 we believe it will behave better on your phone. Please let us know if that's not the case. Cold greetings from Norway :) P.S. lykke til med norsken!

Love it! But two issues. Often The app skips to next/random episode by itself, usually when it's less than 3 min left. And sometimes The podcast just goes silent but timer keeps counting. Going back 15 sec solves this. Any solutions? Hsppend about 1-3 times every hour of listening

Multiple problems. The most annoying one is that on the Android Auto view the podcasts/radio shows are ordered alphabetically by their latest episode TITLE NAME. So it's impossible to find your show from the list, unless you happen to know the name of the episode. E.g. if I'm looking for Berrum&Beyer it doesn't help to view podcasts starting with B, because the title is whatever they were talking about on their latest episode. Please fix asap.
